Baby Doll Pink

Hi Ladies, Welcome to Pink Saturday! It's all about Pink today as you know. Don't you just love these Vintage doll clothes? Great find at the Thrift Barn in Poughkeepsie, NY. I found them when I walked in the door. Two boxes full, mostly handmade with lots of love. I wish I knew the owner who donated them or the stories they have to tell. I'm sure there was countless hours of role playing in their home. I love the handmade sweater sets worn with age.I have to confess. My babies never had any clothes on them. They always were naked with chickenpox! Yup! I would draw many dots on my dollies, so they would have pox. Ha, Ha, Ha.So much for pretty articles of clothing!
Well Ladies, enjoy Pink Saturday. My dolly is crying and she needs a bottle. Just kidding! Thank You Beverly once again for organizing such a fun event. You can never get enough pink. Thanks for stopping by. Stop by more often! Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Liz

Buttons Galore

So many buttons, so little time. A button here, A button there. A button for your thoughts. Button up, it's cold outside. I know, I'm getting alittle crazy with buttons. I was just playing around and this is what I came up with! A visual collage with my name.No sewing involved,Yea!!! Some of these buttons are vintage and I included a pin or two. What do you think? I'm not sure myself? I wanted to sign off at the end of my Blog with my name. We shall see if it makes the cut. Please leave me a comment. Thanks, LIZ

Brook Farm and The Farm Chicks

It's raining here in NY. What a great day to experiment with some new recipes. I purchased my copy of The Farm Chicks Cookbook,"In The Kitchen." Let the cooking begin!First order of business is to wash and organize the veggies I gathered from Brook Farm in Gardiner, NY. A big Thank You to Dina And Jack for sharing their love of this Farm with me and my family.Kale, tomatoes, parsley, beans, zinnias, squash were for distribution.May I point out, "Don't squeeze the tomatoes!" I did, OOpps! Anyway, it was fun and the scenery was gorgeous. What better way to spend a Saturday, on a working Farm.Baa, Baa.. I didn't see sheep. I wonder? Ok, have some work ahead of me. Have a great week. Hugs, Liz
