Mischief Night

Enter at your own risk

Look   closer.....
They were Elizabeth's Children who passed in 1830! I had chills while I was there. Spooky....
Ah, Are You Digging On My Grave? by Thomas Hardy
"Ah, are you digging on my grave,
My loved one? -- planting rue?"
-- "No: yesterday he went to wed
One of the brightest wealth has bred.
'It cannot hurt her now,' he said,
'That I should not be true.'"

"Then who is digging on my grave,
My nearest dearest kin?"
-- "Ah, no: they sit and think, 'What use!
What good will planting flowers produce?
No tendance of her mound can loose
Her spirit from Death's gin.'"

"But someone digs upon my grave?
My enemy? -- prodding sly?"
-- "Nay: when she heard you had passed the Gate
That shuts on all flesh soon or late,
She thought you no more worth her hate,
And cares not where you lie.

"Then, who is digging on my grave?
Say -- since I have not guessed!"
-- "O it is I, my mistress dear,
Your little dog , who still lives near,
And much I hope my movements here
Have not disturbed your rest?"

"Ah yes! You dig upon my grave...
Why flashed it not to me
That one true heart was left behind!
What feeling do we ever find
To equal among human kind
A dog's fidelity!"

"Mistress, I dug upon your grave
To bury a bone, in case
I should be hungry near this spot
When passing on my daily trot.
I am sorry, but I quite forgot
It was your resting place."

Photography and Where Women Create

These days, I've been taking a liking to photography. My Daughter is the talented one in this area and really knows her stuff. For me, it is a Art form all in itself. I look at objects in a whole different light. It's becoming a part of me now and I'm glad I can share it with all of you. I would like to take a class someday. Learning all aspects of this wonderful hobby. For now, I'll just take it slow with my hand me down Canon. Hey, maybe for Xmas I'll get a new one. Hint, Hint!! These lily pads were on my trip home this afternoon. You see, I never know what will inspire me. Click, Click! Have  a great TGIF.                                                                                                                                                      Hugs, Liz

White On White

I purchased these white embroidery curtain panels at the Flea on Saturday.
Can you  believe for a mere .25 cents a panel, brand new. The vendor after I made my purchase said, " Great, now I can pay my rent."  Oh boy! I felt good after my purchase.I hate hearing these stories of people struggling in this economy.I just wish I had seen something else I could buy at his booth. Happy White Wednesday everyone.  Head on over to Faded Charm to see MORE........  White that is. Enjoy!                                                                                                                                                                  Hugs, Liz

Leaf Collage

                                      October gave a party;
                                         The leaves by hundreds came:
                                      The ashes, oaks, and maples,
.......... And those of every name.

                                                 George Cooper
                                             ( 1838- 1927)

Hope this makes you Smile! I had to take a pic of the random leaves as they had fallen to the ground. Thus, a leaf collage was created. No help from me. Mother Nature just doing what she knows best, Art. Yeah, you know what I need to do at my home. Start raking! Enjoy your week, everyone!
