Pears::

Vintage Cream Cheese container with fruit.

                                                  
   Pears and Pods. I added these elements to a wooden cream cheese container. Can you believe cream cheese came in a wooden box? That was way before my time. I'm just playing with wooden containers this morning. I enjoy adding fruit with hint of nature. A simple vignette for Fall. Let's see how long this lasts in my household. For the love of a good pear. Yum!
  I hope your day brings you lots of inspiration. Maybe an apple, pear or pomegranate catches the corner of your eye in the produce section.
   It's the simple things in life that we sometimes take for granted. Just think my day started out with a cup of coffee and a pear. Not bad!

My Go To CookBook ::

     My Mom taught me all about cooking. Even before I was married, I was cooking pork chops and over cooking brownies. This became a joke in my household every time I would bake. It stuck! So when I bake, my Hubby tells the story of the rock hard treats I would bake for him. I think I've gotten better over the years with help from Mom. Mom's go to cook book is: The New American Cookbook. Copyright by Books, Inc., 1941.
After, I was married. I would call Mom frequently for cooking times and recipes. It to became my favorite cooking tool.

As years passed and My Mom moved. She gave me the cookbook. Yeah, I know it's outdated. But, in the kitchen I would be lost without it.

Happy Halloween::

Hello Everyone!

By now, you probably have heard the news. The weather on the East coast has been snowy and cold. Brrr...

For some, is this a TRICK or a TREAT ?

It will be interesting to see, how Halloween comes into play tomorrow around the Hudson Valley. I'm sure we will make the best of it. Even, come up with creative ways to deal with the many inches of snow.

While, I'm here.. I want to extend a THANK YOU to all my Friends. Your wonderful comments about my Where Women Create Blog feature were very sweet and appreciative. It's great to have really good Friends who are so supportive! Thanks Again.
