Berries and Baskets::

           I came across these vintage wooden berry baskets at a sale last weekend for .20 cents each. Worn with age, splintered and just perfect for a craft project. Any suggestions on what to do with them? Not to mention, it's strawberry picking time here in the Hudson Valley. I hope there's more local berries left for me by the time I get back to the farm. Boy, were they good. Yum :)
       I'm getting diplomas ready for my classrooms moving up ceremony on Friday. It's that time of year again.. I've got to go finish tying some more bows. Congrats to all those who are graduating soon. Have a great Thursday. I can't believe it's Thursday already. This week just flew!
                                                               Bye for now,

Insta Monday::

Monday snapshots :)

        Did I ever tell you I HATE Monday? I DO! Especially, when you want the weekend to not end. This made up for my disliking this day of the week. Here's a glimpse of my Insta Monday.
      After work, I decided to pick up some local strawberries. Yum! Noticing that the farmers have been busy then ever planting pumpkins and corn. Looks like the crops are doing GREAT. The garden themed mural caught my eye on my way home. I asked some students if I could photograph it. They said, " Go FOR IT! " I did ;)
      5:00 traffic.. well, wouldn't you know. Mama had to cross her ducklings across the road. I made a mad dash for the camera. Got it! So adorable, it made me and an adjacent driver smile instantly at each other. How could you not :)
     I guess, I'll reconsider Mondays... How about you?

Rewind Yesterday In Lafayette::

Pictured Above Artists: Sue Parker, Letty Worley, Laurie Meseroll.
                                     Have you ever been to an event where art meets vintage? I had the pleasure of traveling to Lafayette, NJ yesterday to meet up with Jen O'Connor and the Earthangel's gang. The artist showcase was held at Rose Petal Porch. Lots of beautiful art work to see in the most picture perfect location, Lafayette. Oh, yes if you are a antique lover you must take a trip. I recommend it!
           As the day flew by.. lunch with Thelma and a stop at Piddlestixs. Much to our surprise we met mixed media artist, Lisa Kettell who owned the shop. Pictured above with her sweet Mom, Joan. Lisa an avid collector herself let us tour her workshop where all the magic happens. Thanks gals for your generous hospitality. It certainly was a pleasure meeting the both of you :) Oops, before I forget thanks Thelma for another adventure under our belt. Moo!!
           I hope your weekend was exciting also. Now, back to a new work week and chores that I neglected around here. Enjoy what's left of the weekend.
