to new journeys::

Hi how are you? It's certainly been awhile I've been on the blogging scene. So much to do and not enough hours in the day to do all the things I love, one of them blogging.
Behind the scenes I've been putting my thoughts to paper, writing and editing my last article for Gatherings Magazine. Yes, it's very bittersweet and emotional. But, with all things good they don't last forever. It has been an amazing journey to say the least. I have learned so much about the magazine biz and have met some amazing and talented people. It has been surreal... I'm speechless.
I'm eager to start something new. But, for now I'm soaking up some sun, taking some time off and enjoying what Summer brings. It's all good.
Look out for the last issue of Gatherings Magazine via Mac Cloud online sometime this summer. Drop me a line if you have any questions or concerns liz@gatheringsmag.com I would be happy to help you.
I just want to say, thank you for all your support of Gatherings and Lizlovesvintage. I am very grateful for all your wonderful comments and following. Till we meet again!

sunflowers::

 The sunflowers in a nearby farm are magical this time of year.Rows and rows of them planted along side the road, I can't help but stop for a close up. I've been wondering what you've been up to these days? In between work, it's been leisure trips to the farmer's market, out door concerts, thrift shop and the flea of course for me. I enjoy looking forward to the weekend and being a little lazy. Have a sunny weekend. I'm on my way to the market to purchase some of these beauties. Enjoy your Saturday! August::

          Happy August! I hate to think that the summer is almost to an end. No vacation yet for me, as I finish out the summer school program. One more week.. of kiddies. YES!
          In the collage above, are some things I like best about the month of August. The beach, thrift shop finds, sunflowers, cool breezes, long days and vintage memories. The couple in the pic are my Grandparents at Mar Del Plata in 1952. They enjoyed the beach as much as I do minus, the robes :)

  What do you like most about the month of August? I bet I know.... Have a great week whatever your plans are.
PS. I have some space available for advertising on my sidebar. I know I said I would never, ever advertise on my blog. I'm giving it a try. So, email me if you have any questions. Thanks!
                                                                                xxx Liz

A New Season::

Is officially here.... and what's not to LOVE about it!
The beach, ice cream, vacation, sandals, barbeque's, homegrown veggies, sea shells, picnics, The Farmer's market, snap dragons, ice tea, salads, a pedicure, hiking, a cool breeze, lobster, sun dresses, peaches, ice coffee, The flea, sitting on my deck, driving with my sunroof open, lightning bugs, long walks in the morning, fruit salad, star gazing, visiting Friends, and so on.... and so on.....
I'm so glad Summer is here. So, short a season to enjoy.
What's your favorite thing about Summer?
    You know what my faves are!
                                                             Have a great week.
