What a beautiful day in the Hudson Valley. We had plenty of yard work that needed to be done. Thank goodness for my dollar store gloves. They sure came in handy! Till tomorrow, we'll see what the weather brings.Have a wonderful weekend! Hope your Heart is at Home.

Don't Ruffle My Feathers!

I had errands to do today. On the list was to get veggies and fruit.On the way home, a turkey ran right out of nowhere.In a panic, I braked and another turkey came fast. He ran and flew right into my wind shied.Oh wonderful! Turkey anyone? My new car ,I thought.My Hub.raced out of my car to access the damage and to find Mr. Tom." No damage" He, replied.He went in search for, you know who?Mr Tom was saved.He must of flew the coop. On the way Home Hub. comments," Ya know if he wasn't alive, I would of plucked him for..." NOT! Hee, Hee. Thanks Mr. Tom!! On the road there were a dozen of feathers. My Souvenir!! What a Friday, Upstate NY.

Earth Day

The young lambs are bleating in the meadows,
The young birds are chirping in the nest,
The young fawns are playing with the shadows,
The young flowers are blowing towards the West-
Go out,children from the mine and from the city;
Sing out; children, as the little thrushes do;
Pluck your handfuls of the meadow-cowslips pretty,
Laugh aloud to feel your fingers let them through!

Collecting

It always amazes me what people collect. How many collections do you have? Collections can be endless. When do you stop? Are we hoarding? I have to tell you I'm not a hoarder,But a avid collector of Vintage Jewelery. Love the craftsmanship and yes anything that sparkles the better.I have several cameos, pins, necklaces and each one is special in it's own way.What do you collect?

I'm still in the Beginning phases of my Blog. So much to learn and material to read. I thought this process was going to be easy. Was I kidding myself? Then, my stupid Cannon camera. Going To The Flea

Hello,
Woke up to a cloudy morning and chilly I might add.Then,I received a call. My Friend, Stephanie asked me if I would like to go to the Rhinebeck Flea.You know what my answer was YES!!We always have fun rummaging for finds.Vintage Jewelery, Milk glass,Books, Bottles are some of my interests.Anything old that has a story to tell.Like one of the vendors today.A old man selling his Wife's precious jewels.He said he purchased each one of them for her! Suddenly,My heart sank.Is she dead I thought? When I asked him for prices he said," My Wife will be right back!" Oh my, what a relief.Then, off I went to rummage some more.Flea Markets are filled with interesting people.The people have stories to tell and I have a ear for listening to them.
My finds today included: 5 Vintage Necklaces, A Vintage pin,A Vintage hair pin, A cute new resin bird, A French/ English Dictionary Free!! Did I tell you
I am going to FRANCE. One day!!!
Back to doing laundry. Bye for now.
