I Found A Cigar Humidor::

                                    No Cigars here....... just Vintage ;)
                    The humidor reminded me of my Dad. He smoked cigars. Do you buy items that remind you of people, places or events that took place in your life ? Why does that suck me in? Why? It's a fantastic wooden box that I found at a tag sale. I filled it with items that are reminiscent of January too.

                                                      Happy January,
                                                   I better get a move on!

Beautiful! I love how you 'repurposed' it. My husband's grandfather had a humidor, and it as recently used to carry the ashes of my young nephew. How very fitting, and I know grandpa Tidwell would be proud.

I love finding things that remind me of my youth or of loved ones who are no longer with us.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Who doesn't love an old wood box?
It looks as if it is oak...beautiful!
Love the keys and metal tags too.
Such a pretty day out today...wish I had a tag sale to go to! Enjoy your finds...

I thought you were going to say you started smoking cigars. ;)
I love the box and the way you have displayed your treasures in it. Great idea when you run out of cigars.

How cool. I'm imagining how the box smells. I love the smell of tobacco, it's a miracle that I never have smoked in my life.

I love your collection of little items one might have found in someone's junk drawer. Now, they are precious to us! Isn't it funny? The original owners would have laughed if they knew we would be snapping them up and blogging about them!

I think we all buy things that remind us of the past (people, places, events). When the price is right, who can resist an item with a sentimental pull? Your humidor/arrangement is very sweet!
