Saturday Thrifting::

              Saturday morning ritual. First post office, bank ,then the thrift shop. Lately, it has been a bust. So, Saturday I decided to quickly run to the next town to a thrift shop there. Scored on the dome after haggling price. I was told weeks ago by a Woman, that the prices are what they are. I will not take no for an answer. I tried again... it worked. I also purchased a lamp that needs a shade. Here we go.. Pam are you reading this post? A perfect art deco glass one. I've been wanting one for sometime now. Reproduction ones at Home Stores just don't make the cut for me and expensive. I'll be posting about the lamp project in a few. Not sure what to do just yet. ;)
            I just thew this vignette together for now. When Spring comes or sooner. I can see many possibilities. Can you?
            It's bitter cold outside. Catching up on household stuff, organizing and emails. Back to work tomorrow......Early to bed ;)
                                                             Stay warm,
                                                             xxx Liz

I love your vignette. I think stuff looks great under glass. I bought a vintage poem book too this past weekend. Maybe I will steal your idea for displaying it. Love your finds Liz.

I'm hit or miss with haggling -- sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I almost always do if I'm buying more than one thing. Your little cloche and the treasures you put in it are perfect together!

Yes you saw a dome over at my place. I see we have that in common. I'm a sucker for all things glass and rounded like cloches and domes. Love your blog. Can't wait to poke around. Thanks for stopping over. BTW, love your vignette!

Awesome find Liz. I love domes because you can display just about anything under them for any season and it just makes everything in them look so much more pretty and special, don't you agree? Can't wait to see your other find.

Hugs and Kisses,

Your vignette is so pretty, Liz. I need to primp my cloche, come to think of it. It's been the same for months. I never considered negotiating at the thrift store! Who knew? Great tip. I've added your blog to my "Love These Blogs" on my sidebar. I'm enjoying my visits!
