May you always have walls for the winds,
a roof for the rain
tea besides the fire,
laughter to cheer you,
those you love near you,
and all your heart might desire.
- Irish blessing
Hope your day is filled with fun. I'll be cooking at home an Irish meal for my family. The menu: Corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes and soda bread a must. The crock pot is ready to go.. Do you celebrate St. Pat's Day too? Have a wonderful weekend whatever your plans may be.

I'm on the Mend

I feel like I've been gone for so very long!!On Monday, I went to a specialist and found out that I had a small tear on my retina. Ouch! For over 2 weeks, I had flashes of light and spiders in my vision. I did have it checked 2 wks. ago but, the Dr. didn't see anything. Then, Friday I became nervous. Back to the Retina Dr. on Monday, followed by Laser treatment that afternoon. Now, I'm on the mend. Thank goodness it was found or else I could of gone blind Dr. said. I can't even imagine that. Blind??? So scary, scary thought. So, everything is OK now, I hope. Left eye on the mend. My Mom always said eat carrots they are good for your eyes. I guess I need to stock up now. Here's a Vintage postcard I found....Take care, Liz
