Memories In Florida::

Hello!! Hello!!
It's good to be back home.I traveled to sunny central Florida to visit my Mom.Who is doing well, considering a bad fall she had weeks prior.I tell you that time spent was treasured.Mom and Daughter time I will never forget in my heart.Here are some pics from my favorite historic town, "Miscanopy". Known for their antiques, books, museum and yes beautiful old trees.Oh, and the best ever Southern chicken and dumplings! Yum.
I think in my next life. I will be a food critic.Not a bad job you think?
Before I leave. I would like to send out a little prayer of hope to all those who were faced with the impact of Irene.I've seen it's devastation from afar. My prayers are with all those families, whose lives have been impacted by this terrible storm.
Time for me to... unpack. Till next time..
                                                      Hugs,
                                                       Liz

Last But Not Least::

       Working at a snail's pace this am. Grocery shopping, errands to do and a stop at a Friend's home to see her porch.
Busy, busy.. This is a quick post.
Last, but not least. The last collar in the lot from the Flea last week. It has that "Wow" factor doesn't it? Lizzie is looking pretty good. I do say so myself.
     Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Have a great weekend. Enjoy!

Vintage Collars::

So, sweet I couldn't resist.When I eyed this lot of Women's dress collars well, I was jumping for joy. Oooo, Aaa!  The Woman who I purchased them from said her children couldn't care less about these heirlooms that belonged to her Aunt. Isn't this always the case? Which one is your favorite?
Mine is?
Have a great week

Random Garage Sale/ Thrift Goodies::

Children's toys seem to be what I've been encountering lately. The Woman who sold me the iron said it worked. Really?
I haven't tried it yet but, for some odd reason I'm a little sceptical. My Grandmother would of been so excited about this purchase. She loved to iron. Even my Grandfather's underwear!
Child's ironing board from another sale. They weren't a set.
... And this 1950's puppet I found thrifting. It was love at first sight. Isn't she a sweet one? I couldn't resist this purchase.
Could you have?
Liz ;)

Meet Lizzie::

              A great ending to a hectic week! I found "Lizzie" at the Flea this morning. I wasn't sure if she had what it takes but, I couldn't resist. Before I was about to leave the flea, she called me from afar. I laughed because the vendor said, " I was killing him." Yes, I haggle. Ha, Ha.
          So, this was Sunday. Wednesday, I had eye surgery. I'm fine still recuperating from cataract surgery. All is well so far!
         Since last week, my computer was giving me a headache. Well, more like a migraine. This is why I was also absent from blogging. Hubby said I had malware. What the heck! My Etsy banner was gone. Very frustrating on so many levels. I need a computer tech attached to my hip these days. Yikes!!
       And finally... I will be collaborating with a shop in Rhine beck, NY to carry some of LizlovesVintage goods. I am excited to see my Vintage in a shop other than online. One of my dreams come true. Maybe, now I won't have to schlep my wares across town. The Flea at D + H Canal was so much fun last Sunday. More like work but, best with a Pal. Thanks Stephanie!!
      That's what I've been up to. Oh, plus trying to stock the food pantry at the Battered Women's Site. Who as it stands has run out of food. Things need to get better sometime soon. I don't need to tell you guys there is such a need! Please support your local pantry. Thanks!
      My Hubby is ringing a Vintage Hotel bell for service. Why in the world would I even encourage that purchase!!
       Bye, for now.
                                                                            Hugs,
                                                                             Liz

Queen Anne's Lace::

I always forget the beauty within..
       A delicate Specimen: Queen Anne's Lace.
I found the lace beneath my toes while on a walk before darkness.
       Last years forgotten flower. This year I couldn't forget.
       Have you forgotten to look? It's everywhere and I adore it's simplicity.
Hope you are staying cool where you are. Have a wonderful week.
