Autumn Sweetness::

           Off doing errands in the middle of the week and I stumbled upon this bush of sweetness. I didn't have my camera. So, this morning I went back. I had to get closer and take a photograph. The weather is changing quickly. Before you know it will be cold. Autumn is creeping in. I just love that. Back to my laundry pile. That keeps on creeping in also. Have a great weekend! Keep in touch.

I Need A Spritz Of Perfume::

       It's been a rainy day here in New York. The weather leaves not much for the imagination, other than it being the first day of Fall. So, I thought it would be fun to do some reminiscing about Vintage perfume fads long gone bye.
       I can remember the days of Sweet Honesty, Loves Baby Soft, Liz Claiborne Eaude Toilette Spray and Musk. I can remember my Grandmother's favorite was 4711 and my Aunt Irma's was the distinct, Jean Nate'. Oh, so long ago.

                                     So, when the vendor said, $1.00
                                             SOLD....
                             I knew you would agree .
                                                   As for the pin cushion it came in 2nd
                                   place, a mere $2.00. Not bad I say!

                        Spend a hour on a Farm and your worries and woes seem to disappear. Even with the overcast skies, I made it apple picking at Liberty Orchards today.

I Think I've Lost My Mind::

                          Yes, Folks! I think I've lost it or maybe I've come to my senses. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. My Collections are getting out of hand and with a small home. You know... enough already! I need to do some serious purging around here. For starters, I need to ask myself a few questions. Do I love it? Do I need it? Do I have to have it? Can I live without it? Can I find another one just like it?
               I think what hit me hard was a visit to my Mom's, a few weeks ago. Her sadness as I went through my Grandma's jewelery box, hutch and closet. After her telling me, " What am I going to do with these things throw them away?" It struck a core in me. I wouldn't want that on my Children or Daughter's shoulders. Cleaning up years of Collections or plain old stuff could be exhausting to anyone.
             I'm sure this is a good thing. I keep on convincing myself just that. We shall see how it goes.....
For now, I'm taking inventory one day at a time. Have I lost my mind?
