A rather chilly start to a Tuesday morning.. getting props ready to do a photo shoot in one of my fave little shops close by. Since, fall is slowly fading away I couldn't resist the temptation. Photo from my instagram feed today. Isn't that ornamental cabbage just beautiful? A last minute choice to include some natural harvest from the nursery, the pop of fuchsia says it all. I hope your Tuesday morning is going well. Brr.. it's cold outside.

fall collage wreath::
Supplies:.1 wreath form ( any size)
.glue gun
.burlap cut in strips approx. 4 inches wide in
the length of the sack. I just cut.. as many as
needed as I went along.
(used a corn sack that I cut for this project)
. vintage photos, cabinet cards, papers, post
.cards, bingo cards, ephemera,
.fresh leaves from the outdoors in various
sizes, shapes.
.buttons, sewing notions, odds and ends
(used a vintage bow tie)
. dried flower pod. You can omit..
I just wanted to add a different texture here.
Directions: This is a no sew project. Wrap burlap strips taut around wreath form. Wrap and glue till the whole wreath is completely covered in burlap. Trace different size leaves on postcards and paper from vintage books. Here is where you can be creative. Use whatever you like! Glue in place. I suggest that you design and place items on the wreath before gluing. I also added a button and a sewing card. Again, be creative. Have fun!
So, what did you create today? I hope you had a wonderful Columbus Day.

Apple Picking On The Farm::
Today was a beautiful day to take in some sun and take a walk in a orchard. It's that time of year. I love the ladder placed against the tree in the picture. I'm sure some kids have fun climbing that specimen.
Thank you Liberty Orchards for a beautiful time on the farm. Now, let's see if I can make some applesauce tomorrow with some of these babies!
I'm trying not to tie in Facebook with my blog posts but, you know it happens. Thank you new followers for the Likes on there. Very sweet :)
Have a great Monday. I'll be back on the farm on Tuesday with my class apple picking. I better get some rest... and bees you better stay away.
PS> I'm having a hard time with the new blogger. Eeek!

Being Thankful For Masterpieces::
I have made a discovery
what I Love belongs to me.
Not the chairs and tables in my house,
but the masterpieces of the world.
~ Elizabeth Asquith Bibesco
I'm grateful for so many masterpieces. Family, Friends and You. Here's hoping you and yours have the best Thanksgiving.
In your heart and in your home.

A Spendid Season::
My thoughts on Fall are quite simple and laid back. Serene and country like. Too quiet for me these past few days. I've been home ill for 2 days now. The sun is shinning through my window and I'm coughing, coughing and coughing. Blah! My Fall decor is still in the attic. No pumpkins or gourds to be found here. I'm a bit sad would you say? So, I made this collage hoping it would cheer me up. Fall will still be here when I get better. Which I know will be real soon. Well, I hope you are enjoying Fall where you are. It's my all time favorite Season. A splendid one!

Autumn Sweetness::
Off doing errands in the middle of the week and I stumbled upon this bush of sweetness. I didn't have my camera. So, this morning I went back. I had to get closer and take a photograph. The weather is changing quickly. Before you know it will be cold. Autumn is creeping in. I just love that. Back to my laundry pile. That keeps on creeping in also. Have a great weekend! Keep in touch.
Hugs,
Liz

Leap Into Fall
....And that is exactly what we did today on the Wilklow Farm.We headed out, in search of that perfect pumpkin. At least that was my vision for this simply beautiful fall day. As for Hubby, he was along for the ride.Aren't the views spectacular? My perfect pumpkin sits above in the chair, waiting for a ride home. I just love this time of year. Don't you? Have a great week ahead. Hugs, Liz
