I beg to differ::

   When, the weather is bitter cold it's always fun to head over to a antique mall or shop for unique finds. This is also true when I need inspiration and information. Or, just like seeing what's new and hot in the shop. It's fun knowing people in this biz.. it's makes for great conversation too.
   I've been consumed lately, as you know with all things Spring. Now, that I'm in the clear. Here's some shots I took last weekend at Antiques Barn in New Paltz, NY.
   It's always an expedition when I go antiquing. You never know what treasures you will find or stories you hear. Oh, who said antiquing is on it's way out? I beg to differ.

Enchanted By Design::

     The rain couldn't keep me away from discovering a new shop in my area today. On the property sits a courtyard with a unique gazebo. Enchanted by it's architecture and design, I had to see it for myself. This glass enclosed gazebo is an import from China in the most perfect shade of green. A real gem and delight.

      Filled with unique birdcages, garden accessories, table sets, settees, urns and much more..

    A big thank you to Vicki Jackson for the warm welcome. Proprietress of Aphrodite's Antiques and gift shop. I would like to personally welcome you to the neighborhood. By the way, I could sit in the gazebo for hours :)  For more information visit:

Antiquing In PA::

             Antiquing this weekend with my hubby in Pa. We hit some yard sales too. Pickings were slim but, found an old wicker wine jug and some skeleton keys for my shop. The first chair in the pic was marked $ 12.00 now, that's a bargain ;)

Antiques at Fanny's

I really didn't accomplish anything at all today.I guess it's OK, since I'm on vaca! I really shouldn't say that at all. Spent some time with my Hubby out and about.He had a errand to run. So, I found myself in his truck on the way to Patterson, NY.If you just started reading the Blog. I love Vintage! So you know where I had to stop? Yup! The Antique shop. Fanny Doolittle had alittle bit of everything, including jewelery.Jam packed from floor to ceiling with goods, new and old. After Fanny's, we went out for lunch.He was such a sport! The thrift shop on the way home was a last stop.I purchased a HP printer for $5.00. It works great! I'm really ecstatic about scanning my vintage postcards for you to see. Can't wait till then.We installed the hardware this evening. Won't be long and I'll be scanning everything in sight. Here are some pics of the day. Hugs, Liz
