White Textures::

               White textures.... white wood, rusty white, white window pane, white tin. Just white. Are you with me on my white journey?
 Can you see why I'm drawn to these? "Beauty lies in many eyes." Thomas Moore once, said. I'm a believer.
                     Are you a believer?
                 Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Lazy Morning::

              I hope you've been having a good weekend so far. This morning I'm a bit lazy. After all, the flea can do that to you. Always, hit or miss these cuties by McCoy made it home with me from the flea. The cute puppy looks how I feel this am. Sleepy...
            If you live nearby the quaint little town of Saugerties, NY it's worth a drive. Great little shops and so many choices for dining. A shout out to Faye from Saugerties Antique Center. It was nice meeting you yesterday. Faye's Daughter will be opening a shop called, Steamship Alice. Look for the grand opening located on 105 Partition St soon. God luck Gals!
           Have yourself a wonderful Sunday ;)
                                            By the way, Good Morning!

Silverware Patterns::

         I hope all is well with you in blogland. It was a busy week in general for me. Today, we had no school due to the few inches of snow we had over night. Yay for me, I'm not complaining. On my list of to do's for today was to do some research on flatware. Last weekends estate sale finds included: a full set of WM. Rogers premier flatware. Ecstatic about this find since, I've been searching for the President's pattern for awhile now. Home with hot sudsy water and they look shiny and new. Yeah, you can even see the photographer in the spoon pic above.Ha, Ha.
       Country living did an article on: America's Most Popular Silver Patterns in the November issue. Did you see it? Great resource for new collectors just starting to collect silver.
        Although, my everyday set is stainless. I was able to find the markings on the back and research pattern using E-How on the web. Also, I googled : photographs of Rogers Premier. This gave me the information immediately, I was looking for.
       Let's see if I have luck identifying my silver passed down from my Family. I'll post that info. at another time when, I get the facts.
       Do you have plans for this weekend? I'm headed to an indoor flea tomorrow. Early to bed for me.
         Have a great weekend everyone.

Mail From A Cottage and Estate Sale::

                         Ana's handmade heart came in the mail today. Thank you Ana, it's beautiful. I will cherish it always! Check out her sweet blog at, A Petite Cottage.
                         While, the mail arrived this morning. My friend aka: Thelma (that's another story) and me attended a mega estate sale. Oh, yes another craigslist ad. This time the estate sale was in my neighborhood. How lucky was that.

    Thelma had a handful of items. As for myself, I did great too. Here's my list of finds: pair of shabby tole hanging lights( above) shiny brite ornaments, cream ware, spools of thread, vintage scissors, mirror, atlas mason jar, silverware, vintage milk bottle, angel food pan, tin and a vintage Xmas bell.
      The Thelma and Louise duo had a great time. Best of all, it was a stone throw away. We love that :)
      The shabby lighting fixtures will be going in my Etsy shop soon. Not sure on pricing yet. Why am I drawn to pink lately? Who knows.
       I hope you are having a fun weekend. Now, I need to catch up on things around here.
                                                             Be back in a few days :)

Just Finished::

                       I hope you had a great Valentine's Day. My Hubby made me a wonderful dinner. That was such a treat after a long day at work. What do you get when you combine chocolate and Pre-schoolers. You got it! It still was a great day.
      The handmade heart pictured above, is going to Ana over at A Petite Cottage. Before Valentine's Day Ana, was having a heart swap over at her blog. It was appealing to me but, you know I don't sew. So, on my way I went. Then, for reasons... Who knows? I told Ana, I would swap. What? Yes, then panic. It took me a few days to think and plan. I used another vintage pocket that I had here. Outlined the heart by eye and stuffed it with batting. Added a vintage photo, lace and buttons. Phew!! It was a real challenge. I tell you! Ana, it's on it's way to your home as we speak my Friend. I hope you will enjoy the fruits of my labor. I believe the swap is ongoing so, check out her blog if you want to swap hearts with her. Great idea Ana!
   Other projects that I'm working on are quite exciting. If you are on Facebook, LizlovesVintage has a new fan page. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood. It's a project  that I've been wanting to tackle but, wasn't ready to commit to. Let's see what the buzz will be all about.... You are so smart. Yes, Vintage.
                        And last but, not least. I added a Linky on my sidebar. It's a great tool for me so far. I can keep track of all your Blogs in case my memory fails me... Hum? That happens all to often to me lately. Check it out if you haven't already. Linky, Linky.
                                    Enjoy the rest of this week my Friends.
